Dia 1: Cusco -  Cachora - Coca Masana - Rosalia Beach

Very early we will pick you up from your hotel and then drive 4 hours on our private bus to Capuliyoc. On the way, there are spectacular views of villages, valleys and snowy mountains. Once we arrive, we will meet our staff who will pack all our equipment on the pack horses. From here, we can enjoy the spectacular view of the Inca ruins of Choquequirao, the Apurimac canyon and the impressive snow-capped mountains such as Padreyoc. Then we will walk downhill for 3 hours to Chikisca for lunch. After lunch, we continue for 2 more hours downhill to our first campsite at La Playa Rosalinas.

Day 2: Rosalia Beach - Choquequirao 

After breakfast we will continue our way to the citadel of Choquequirao, cross the bridge and walk for the next 4 hours to reach Marampata where we will have lunch while enjoying the view of the ruins of Choquequirao once again. After lunch, we walked to the camp for our second night, just 20 minutes from the ruins. Being so close to the ruins, we can enjoy our view of the ruins in the afternoon and watch the condors flying and all the biodiversity that surrounds it.

Day 3: Choquequirao - Raqaypata

During the morning our guide will take you to the Inca citadel of Choquequirao and visit each one of the archaeological remains explaining the history and the importance of the site. After lunch, those who choose can visit the restored terraces about 300 meters (1000 feet) below the main structures of Choquequirao. In the afternoon we will start the return walk and we will camp the night in Raqaypata, with good luck we can observe the impressive flight of Cóndores around this valley.

Day 4: Raqaypata - Chikisca

After breakfast we will start our way back, this journey will be much easier and quieter, we will descend until we reach the banks of the Apurimac river, in this place we will wait for our lunch. After lunch we will continue the walk for two hours until we reach Chikisca; in this place we will set up our last camp to spend the night.

Day 5: Chiska - Cachora - Cusco

We will start our day early with the climb to the Kapulyoq pass (2800 meters / 9,250 feet), from where we can appreciate the great Apurimac Canyon, then continue on a flat road to the town of Cachora, arriving before noon.

After a well-deserved rest, we will say goodbye to the arrieros and we will start our return trip by bus to Cusco.
